Bedlam the game was showcased at BAFTA in London last night, with a huge turn out and a lot of great feedback from gamers, the press and industry veterans alike.
We made a BIG announcement regards the voice talent we’re using for Bedlam.
Meet Heather Quinn aka Athena and Ross Baker aka Bedlam. The two key roles are being played by Kirsty Strain and Robert Florence best known as principal actors on hit Scottish TV sketch show Burnistoun.
Christopher Brookmyre and the team at RedBedlam are huge fans of Burnistoun and the work of Kirsty and Robert, Christopher recently commented “I’m a huge fan of Burnistoun, and I particularly admired Kirsty and Robert’s ability to bring so many different comic characters to life”. Christopher continued “I thought they’d be the perfect voice casting to distinguish our game in a genre that tends to take itself way to seriously”.
Bedlam the game will be available on Steam early access this Friday 8th August – get in there!
We’re delighted to announce you’ll be able to get your hands on Bedlam around 21.00 (UK) on Friday August 8th.
Just go to the Steam homepage around that time and click on the link for Bedlam.
You’ll get Bedlam on Steam early access for £12.99 (RRP £19.99) and you’ll be able to give us feedback about the game, find bugs and help us frag them!

Imagine our surprise this morning when we opened up our favourite Monday morning read, the FT.
Lo and behold the world’s favourite orange newspaper covered RedBedlam at this years London Book Fair!
RedBedlam were invited to this years show because we’re adapting the novel Bedlam by Christopher Brookmyre into (to use the FT’s terminology) a mad cap, kick ass FPS game.
We’re pleased to announce RedBedlam will be exhibiting in this year’s gaming section of The London Book Fair – you’ll find us on Stand R705C. Please do come and say hello and check out the latest news for Bedlam the game based on the novel Bedlam by Christopher Brookmyre.

Just before we all broke off for the Xmas holidays, RedBedlam’s Marketing Director Nick Witcher was interviewed by South East Business News. The news’s Editor Neill Barston stopped by RedBedlam’s studio at The Sussex Innovation Centre on the University of Sussex campus.

To celebrate the paperback launch of Bedlam on January 21st we’ve teamed up with the lovely people at Alienware who’ve provided an X51 desktop PC as the main prize for our competition – a great piece of gaming hardware for all you hardcore gamers out there!
We also have 6 x A2 posters of Bedlam the game concept art that have been signed by Christopher Brookmyre, the competition winner will receive the Alienware X51 plus a signed A2 poster and a copy of one of Christopher’s earlier novels Pandaemonium the five runners-up will each receive a signed A2 poster plus a copy of Pandaemonium!
All you have to do to enter the competition is share the first chapter of the Bedlam novel. You can share as many times as you like and each share you do counts as an entry into the prize draw, so the more you share the more chances you have of winning a prize!
